Polygon

One Space, Many Possibilities

Ah, Polygon Space in Victoria Island. Our sweet creative playground.

If you’re part of the Nigerian creative industry, you already get it. If you’re not… where have you been?

Polygon is not just a space. It’s a shapeshifter. One day it’s a movie screening theatre. Next day it’s a masterclass stage. Then an intimate dinner venue. Then a buzzing co-working hub. Then a calm yoga studio. Then a full-blown rave arena. And even a deeply soulful gospel experience. And somehow, every single time, it remains distinctly, undeniably Polygon.

They don’t call it the blank canvas for nothing.

Heck, we hosted our Toast at 10 celebration there and let’s just say… We had a time.

So when the Toast x Polygon partnership happened, we smiled the kind of smile that says, “Of course. It was meant to be.”

Polygon on the web

Just like the space itself, building Polygon’s website came with a huge challenge. It had to be able to morph in the blink of an eye while remaining unmistakably polygon.

We had to be able to promote a film today and automatically schedule a refresh that’s promoting a masterclass tomorrow, or selling tickets to a rave the day after.

Different energy. Different audience. Same soul.

So we did what made the most sense.

We built a literal blank canvas (aka Polygon’s nickname).

A digital space designed to hold whatever Polygon becomes next, without ever losing the story at its core. Clean. Adaptable. Intentional. Always putting Polygon front and center.

Because at the end of the day, it isn’t just a venue.

It’s a space like me, you, and all of us.

P.S. If you’re in Lagos and you like your events cool and your people even cooler, it might be time to become a Person of Polygon. Don’t forget to ask for Merch and tell them Toast sent you 😊

Social Media

Once the website was sorted, we said okay. What’s next?

Social media.

Now this one came with its own plot twist. Polygon’s event announcements had to be just as creative and unpredictable as the space itself. But they also had to go out fast. Like, “tickets drop in 24 hours” fast.

You know that saying, “creativity dies under pressure”?

Yeah. We were politely invited to prove that wrong.

So here’s what we did.

We standardized key Polygon elements. Type. Grids. Layout logic. Visual cues. The bones stayed consistent. Then we built a system of reusable templates that could move at the speed of culture.

Same framework. Wildly different outcomes.

One poster feels cinematic. The next feels minimal. The next feels loud. And somehow, they’re all born from the same toolkit.

Efficiency met expression. Structure met spontaneity.

It was a delicate line to walk.

But we might as well be ballerinas because walk it, we did.

Future plans?

That’s the thing about building with Polygon.

This partnership has always been rooted in impactful work that feeds and strengthens the Nigerian creative eco-system.

And that mission continues to drive us, both at Toast and at Polygon

So the beautiful part is we’re just getting started.
