Tunde Onakoya is a chess champion, activist, and the founder of Chess in Slums Africa (CISA). His work is inspiring, using chess to educate and empower children in underserved communities, opening them up to possibilities they never imagined.
When he approached us, he needed more than just a website. He needed a digital home that told his story, his journey from a young chess enthusiast to a global force for change. A place where people could learn about his work, keep up with his updates, and easily connect with him. His work is bold, intentional, and deeply human. His website needed to be the same.

We built a website that feels like chess in digital form, thoughtful, strategic, and deeply personal. The landing page itself is modeled after a chessboard, immediately setting the tone.
We wove subtle yet intentional chess references throughout the design:
The menu icon is a chessboard.
The favicon is the King of Chess (for obvious reasons lol)
The timeline is a visual journey as chess pieces increase in rank as time passes, representing key stages of Tunde’s life.
To bring his impact into focus, we also created a blog/media page, giving visitors a hub to read about his accomplishments and latest updates.
The final result is a website that doesn’t just share information, every page tells his story. The website is thoughtful, engaging, and designed for impact. Now, visitors can step into Tunde’s world, see his work in action, and follow along as he makes his next move.
CLIENT REVIEW
"This is well done, I'm so happy with how this website turned out because I didn't even think about the importance of a chess player working on the project. That was a clear advantage and I'm very grateful for that!"
